Sustainable protective packaging for cultural, written and library goods
How much is the preservation of their cultural, written and library assets worth to your customers?
Efficient grandfathering
made by Sachsenröder:
Good news for all packaging manufacturers: We have developed a material with which you can produce protective packaging that meets the extremely high requirements and wishes of archivists, librarians, museologists and collectors to the highest degree: SAVUTEC® Archivo*. SAVUTEC® Archivo is clearly superior to conventional materials such as paper and cardboard in terms of protection against mechanical stress, ageing and acid formation, moisture, water, fire and pests. The material offers significantly improved protection for preserving the value of cultural, written and library assets.
Trends and visions become innovations.
We have developed some products for you and would like to show you innovative solutions that SAVUTEC® Archivo makes possible. Our promise: No matter how unique or individual your customers' cultural, written and library goods are in terms of their nature, size, thickness, shape and appearance: With SAVUTEC® Archivo, you can produce any standard solution and special design - in thicknesses from 0.1 to 1.0 mm.
The secret of SAVUTEC® success: vulcanised fibre.
SAVUTEC® Archivo is made from vulcanised fibre, a material that used to be widely used but has now almost been forgotten. In contrast to conventional plastics, it is an environmentally friendly composite material whose basic material consists largely of cotton fibres. These renewable plant fibres are processed into raw paper, which is converted into SAVUTEC® brand vulcanised fibre by parchmentisation.
SAVUTEC® is strong, horn-like and also an extremely flexible material: it can be bent, embossed, punched, cut, drilled, milled, ground, planed and bonded. The areas of application are correspondingly diverse. By the way: SAVUTEC® Archivo is available in various colours.
